So it’s no surprise to hear the Cruel Summer star spares absolutely no expense to make sure all 350 members of her team are rewarded with some of the finest refreshments and foods for their stellar efforts.
The U.S. Sun has spoken to a catering consultant from Taylor’s recent shows in Lisbon and Madrid.
He revealed that Taylor’s desire to reward everyone’s hard work proves the 34-year-old really does appreciate that putting on the highest-grossing tour of all time is a monumental team effort.
With the capital cities of Portugal and Spain offering a multitude of gastronomic delights, the options were endless, tasty, and pretty expensive.
“Taylor is a woman who has very good taste,” the insider, who has with worked with U2, the Rolling Stones, and Maroon 5, told The U.S. Sun.
“She loves to eat nice food and drinks. sometimes you have artists that want very basic and low-quality food and drinks. Her list of food and beverage is superb though, with many top, five-star choices.”
For her two-night date at the Stadium of Light soccer stadium in Lisbon, Taylor indulged in a host of local delights.
She ordered some Portuguese barbecue – known as frango de churrasco – which included around 120 chickens, and some charcuterie ham, with the total coming in at $5,500.
For something sweet, a huge order of 1000 pasteis de natas – a traditional egg custard tart pastry – was made.
Our insider said the team loved them so much, they requested another 200 to snack on in Madrid this week.
“She knows that treating the team and crew, and herself too, very well is very important,” added the insider.
Once in Spain, a whopping $11,500 was splurged on multiple legs of the famous Jamon Iberico de Bellota, described as “the world’s most prized ham” which boats an “unforgettable flavor.”
If that’s not enough, a stomach-busting 200 kilos of paella, with jumbo shrimps, clams, and the finest chorizo was also bought. The cost? A cool $20,000.
More Madrid delicacies on the menu included 1,400 pieces of tapas – ranging from meat and cheese to fish and veggies – which came in at $7,000.
And, just for a finishing touch, $2,500 worth of delicious Spanish cheese: five orders of manchego at $240 each and some goat cheese as well.
Pies and treats totaling $6,000, as well as $4,000 worth of fruit, will also be on hand for the hungry hordes to devour.
And that can all be washed down with around 50 bottles of Spanish red wine.
Added to some rosé, it will ensure well over $4,000 will be spent on post-show refreshments in Madrid alone.
