The organizers of The Olympics were forced to give a statement following claims that Celine Dion received $ 2 million to sing only one song at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris.

The games technically started earlier this week with men’s and women’s football and rugby matches, but the formal start of the event was marked last night with a spectacular ceremony.

This year, the opening of the Olympic Games was not held as usual at the Olympic Stadium, but on the banks of the Seine River in Paris.

French President Emmanuel Macron this week commented on rumors that had surfaced about Celine Dion’s performance, but did not confirm whether they were true.

Earlier this week, the American portal TMZ claimed that Celine Dion will earn about 2 million euros for the performance at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris.

The organizers have now denied everything and claim that Celine Dion did not receive a single euro.

“Contrary to what the media is writing, the performers who will perform at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will not be paid for their services. Their decision to perform in these conditions shows their desire to be part of this historic event for France, but also for the entire sports public. In addition, Paris 2024 will cover all costs of a technical nature,” the organizers said in a statement.
