Trump was mocked on social media after the 1997 song “My Heart Will Go On” was used at his campaign rally in the US state of Montana, while a video of Dion performing it was played on the big screen.

Dion’s managers and her label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada, said in a statement to X that use of the song or video was not “in any way” authorized. “Celine Dion does not approve of this or similar use… And indeed, THAT song?” the press release added.

Social media users have compared Trump’s campaign to a sinking ship in a James Cameron film.

The song “My Heart Will Go On” was released on the album Let’s Talk About Love and on the Titanic soundtrack. It became one of the most famous songs of all time, selling 18 million copies, and Dion won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and several Grammy awards for it.
