The singer wore a replica of the ‘Heart of the Ocean’ necklace
Celine Dion’s couture wardrobe has left fashion followers glued to their iPhones this season after delivering a spectacularly gram-worthy series of looks from a Chanel unitard to that Alexandre Vauthier gown.
But her latest ensemble is a new frontrunner, after the ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer paid sartorial tribute to 1992 hit movie Titanic in a replica of the famous ‘Heart of the Ocean’ necklace.
Yesterday, Dion stepped out in Paris wearing what appeared to be a surprisingly low-key look decked in an oversized Vetements blazer and black mini skirt.
The jewel was plucked from Vetements’ spring/summer 2020 collection which paid homage to Titanic in a show entirely dedicated to ’90s pop culture.
Though it’s not the first time Dion has celebrated the film, as she wore a replica of the historic necklace on the 1998 Academy Awards red carpet – after the movie was nominated for a grand total of 14 awards.
The piece was reinterpreted by London-based jewellers, Asprey & Garrard, for the starry evening with a 170-carat sapphire set in 104 diamonds.
As per last season, Dion has been a firm front row fixture at Couture Fashion Week.
Though we won’t have to wait long to see her pull out more fashion stops, as the singer has embarked upon her European tour.
